Singer/songwriter, Benjamin
Olson is part of a small but growing group of
independent artists who are able to derive a living
from their music without the backing of a major
label budget.
Hailing from Green Bay, WI, Benjamin moved to
Nashville in 2003. He released his first full length
album "White Window" to critical acclaim, being
named "Male Solo Artist of the Year" by the
Southeast's largest major market rock radio station,
The Buzz, in 2005. He has, inarguably, become a
force in the independent music scene since then.
Olson released his second album "Sun Will Shine" in
2007 and followed it up with a very successful
Midwest and regional tour.
Since that time, Olson has been touring,
released an EP "Cold October," and has been writing
new material for his highly anticipated third album
which is currently untitled. One song that
fans will recognize on this album is his cover of
Roy Orbison's "Working For the Man" which was
included on Roy's tribute album, "Under The Covers,"
released in 2009.
The Orbison organization, in connection with Olson's
management team, is very excited about Olson's
upcoming album with the release of a new version of
the Orbison cover and are supporting his current
efforts to get the music out to a broader audience.
This should prove successful considering Olson's
large and loyal fan base.
